How to add a Local Pickup point in WooCommerce?
Your clients should shop for their hair, in the way that is most convenient for them. They want to receive their wig sometimes per courier, and sometimes they want to pick the hair at your place. And if offering that extra service to your clients will help them to buy your hair, why not?
You do not want them to pay for shipping if they pick up the hair. Read below how to add a local pickup point in WooCommerce for your hair store.
Where to find the shipping settings in WooCommerce?
If your WooCommerce hair store has been designed and set up by somebody else, you might wonder where you can find the shipping options. To find them go to the back end of the hair store and go to:
WooCommerce>Settings
Here you will find several settings that help you to make the WooCommerce store fit for your online hair business. Under general for example you can remove the number of decimals. This will show all your prices in round figures, so $ 120 instead of 120,12. This makes the hair look cheaper because there are less number to see, right?

WooCommerce Shipping Options
Under this tab you can add all the various shipping zones you want to use, combined with the shipping charges. Here you can offer your clients various shipping methods. Cheaper methods but more days to wait for the wig to receive. Or a quick and more expensive shipping method. It is here where you can add the local Pickup Point.

Add local pickup point
The local pickup point must be added to a shipping zone. You edit the existing shipping zone of your country or region. Now you can select one of the three options, flat rate, free shipping, or local pickup point.
Select Local Pickup point, now you can also select if sales tax is charged, and any cost associated to the local pick up.
By the way, you can also change the name from Local Pick Up into Local Delivery for example.
WooCommerce uses the standard order flow when the local pickup shipping method has been selected. This means, your client receives the same order confirmation email for the hair she bought whether local pickup or flat rate shipping has been selected. You might want to change this.
